Geisty Bear has been interested in trophic cascades and polycultures ever since his first backpacking trips through the many mountains of California. He learned early that far more important than learning abstractions in classrooms, learning how to feed oneself without a wallet was paramount. In the time since he has fully plunged into the whole gamut of food cultivation sciences from permaculture to rewilding. The current state of our habitats on Turtle Island has pushed him towards doing everything he can to aid the creation of more ecologically aligned and biodiverse ecologies.
Workshops & Presentations
Conceiving Ecotopian Futures
In this Ecotopian panel we will be exploring the ideas behind the epic novel series by Ernest Callenbach, author of Ecotopia. A visionary story about the west coast seceding from the American machine in order to establish a survivable culture based on ecological alignment.
In this workshop you will explore different tools you can utilize in order to localize production of food and of agreements. Learn about consensus methods that will be the primary basis of future planning and survival.
We can, and must, replace all past hierarchies with open source voting and consensus software.
